Big Announcements for Thunder Road's 50th Season!

We Got Smoke! Yes! NASCAR's Tony Stewart will visit Thunder Road and race in the Governor's Cup on June 25th.

The King is Coming Back! - It's true. "The King" Richard Petty is coming back to Thunder Road on July 30th!

Another Racing Legend Will Visit! - Bobby Allison will be coming to Thunder Road on June 18th!

David Ragan coming to Thunder Road! This young NASCAR star will be coming to race in August!

Street Stocks And Warriors Racing Together? - It was learned at the Street Stock/Warrior meeting that the Street Stocks and Warriors will race together. This will make for some crazy fun for the fans in the stands, but will the drivers be happy with the chaos that is sure to come from this? Flying Tiger 3 Race/3 Track Series Announced! - A three race series for the Tiger Sportsmen was announced at last week's Tiger meeting. Check out the whole story here.

Thunder Road Announces No Smoking Policy For 2009 Season - Thunder Road has declared the Family Grandstand and the Concession Areas as No Smoking Areas. This has been long awaited and is a very popular policy. Read the full story here.

My Home Track is "The Nation's Site of Excitement" Thunder Road in Barre, Vermont.
I have been attending races at Thunder Road since I was a small boy. I have always loved race cars. The sounds, the smells, and the excitement that's always in the air.
I have been to a few different tracks over the years and I've seen some good racing, but nothing compares to "the Road"! The car counts are big, even in these tough economic times, and the fans come out by the thousands to fill the Grandstand and Budweiser Hill!
